I wanna win the car!!!
Great ads telling all about the wonderful new Fords theyre giving away at this very theater! Theyre coming from Les Faurensteins auto dealership. Fat chance that you can win them from any theater NOT brandishing the Fox name. Anyways, then the cars get the soft sell. Theyre actually quite nice looking! Woo! Watch them climb hills! Wow, get a load of that tracking shot at his shop.. It goes faster and faster! Whoa! Another ad, explaining that ANOTHER dealer, An Earle C. Anthony is giving away cars too! At the fox theater as well! These are Essex terraplanes.. Hmmm, never heard of them before.. Wow! You can land a plane on them? Well Im sold

Car Crazy California
In 1932, Dish Night was a popular movie gimmick. But only in California would they give away a car at the movies...and make a film about it.
The "Little Deuce Coupe" greets the world as Les Firestine's agency delivers smart new '32 Fords at Fox theaters. (35 mph on the old brick road?...The V-8's obviously hadn't arrived in yet!) Firestine had some back inventory to clear, as several of the "new" cars on his floor are last year's Model A's. But he just wants to be your Ford dealer...is that so wrong?
Then off to art and title land where we're informed (over a nice dance band music bed) that we may win an Essex Terraplane, the car that outperforms all others chasing biplanes on dry lakes. No, the air(a)plane doesn't really land ON the Terraplane...just drops off a rather foolhardy passenger. Say, isn't that Don Wilson voicing-over?

a pleasant 5 minute b/w film. Worth looking at the cars and people of 70 years ago
